Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about USDT/USDC blacklisting and our services

What happens when a USDT or USDC address is blacklisted?
When Tether (USDT) or Circle (USDC) blacklists an address, the tokens at that address become permanently frozen. The owner can no longer transfer, sell, or use those tokens. This is enforced at the smart contract level on TRON and Ethereum networks.
How quickly do you detect new blacklist events?
Our system monitors the blockchain in real-time with sub-second delay. As soon as a ban, unban, or fund destruction transaction is confirmed on-chain, it appears in our event feed and triggers notifications to subscribers.
How can I check if a wallet address is blacklisted?
You can use our Telegram bot @USDTBanBot — send any TRON or Ethereum address and get an instant check. You can also use the ChainSentry AML Bot @ChainSentryBot for a detailed risk analysis with source of funds.
What networks do you support?
We currently monitor USDT and USDC on TRON (TRC20) and Ethereum (ERC20) networks. These two networks account for over 95% of all stablecoin blacklist activity.
What is an AML check and why do I need one?
An AML (Anti-Money Laundering) check analyzes the source of funds flowing into a wallet. It identifies connections to exchanges, mixers, gambling platforms, darknet markets, and sanctioned entities. This helps you avoid receiving tainted funds that could be frozen or lead to account closures on exchanges.
Can I get notified before an address is blacklisted?
While we can't predict blacklisting decisions by Tether or Circle, our counterparty monitoring tracks suspicious patterns. Premium users receive alerts when monitored addresses interact with high-risk wallets, giving early warning signals.
Is there an API available?
Yes. We offer a WebSocket API for real-time event streaming. Connect to our WebSocket endpoint and subscribe to ban events, transfers, and other on-chain activities. See our API documentation for details.
